Alexa Fairchild

Alexa advocates for equity, access, and excellence in arts education for students with disabilities and multilingual learners in her role as the Manager of Arts for Diverse Learners at the NYC Department of Education. Previously, Alexa directed Turnaround Arts: New York City, launched under the Obama Administration to prioritize the strategic use of the arts for school improvement. For ten years, she ran school programs at the Brooklyn Museum, leading a team of educators and hosting kids and teachers for inclusive and engaging gallery experiences.
