Redirect behavior by reminding students of the rules and how the rules still apply even during an arts residency. It can help get Classroom Professionals on board with classroom management to use the language they already have in place.

Another Option

Consider creating cards or adding pictures to a communication device that match the pictures of the classroom rules, so that students who are nonverbal have something to refer to when they aren’t following the classroom rules.
